About the school
ORIGIN:
St. Alphonsus’ High School was established in June 1965 by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel who manage and administer over a two hundred institutions in India. This is in addition to other establishment the Society of the Brothers have all over the world with headquarters in Rome. This society was first founded by St. Louis Marie from Montfort a place in France.
The school is recognised by the Govt. of T.S. and prepares the students for S.S.C. through English medium (Nursery to X) and through Telugu medium (VI to X). It is a Catholic Minority institution, governed by Act. 30(1) of the Indian constitution as elucidated by the highest courts of India. The Managing Committee of the school consists of the Brother Provincial Superior as Chairman and Members of his council.
AIM:
The purpose of the school is not only to impart instructions, but also to develop the total personality of the child by training his/ her intellectual, emotion, physical, moral and aesthetic faculties to make him / her fully human. The school expects the culture and refinement, Catholic students receive religious instructions. All the others are given a course in value systems which teaches a boy / girl his / her obligations towards God, his / her country and his / her fellow men.
